Bernice Jeter Horton

Ms. Bernice Jeter Horton, 87, of 4414 King Kennedy Street Carlisle SC passed away Saturday February 28 2026 at Union Medical Center. Ms. Horton was born February 19 1939 a daughter of the late Ed and Leola Jeter. Survivors include three sons Thomas Horton Jr., Terry Horton (Melanie), Kenneth Horton, two daughters Sharon Jeter, Debi Taylor (Adrian), two brothers Reuben Jeter (Garnell), Nealy Jeter, four sisters Beatrice Gale, Pauline Hunter, Joann Land, Bobbie Roshell, ten grandchildren and twelve great grand children. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 14 2026 at 12noon at Jeter Chapel AME Church. Public viewing will be held Friday March 13 from 12noon-5pm at the funeral home. The family is at the home. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
