Gary Arnold Pegram

Mr. Gary Arnold Pegram, 78  husband of Mrs. Susan Kingsmore Pegram of 1508 Main Street Buffalo passed away Tuesday February 17 2026 at his home. Mr. Pegram was born June 10 1947 a son of the late Hubert Leo Pegram Sr. and Mrs. Henrietta Kathleen Barrow Pegram. Mr. Pegram was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a former Chief of the Buffalo Fire Department. He was a 1964 graduate of Union High School and Newberry College Graduate having played basketball for the Newberry Indians. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son Jeffrey Pegram and his wife Julie, two daughters Jennifer Shetley and husband Don Raye, Lesley Pridemore, one brother Kenneth Pegram and wife Jane, seven grandchildren Alex Pridemore, Matthew Pegram, Sarah Bambach, Kayla Pegram, Cassidy Pridemore, Kelly Grace Pegram, Lilly Shetley, four great grandchildren Jeselle Pridemore, Emoree Knight, Xander Pridemore and Lucas Pegram. He was also survived by two sisters-in-law Teen and Carole Pegram. He was predeceased by two brothers Hubert Pegram Jr. and William Pegram. The family will receive friends Saturday February 21 2026 from 2-4pm at the home of his daughter, 105 Benjamin Street Union SC. Memorial services will be privately held at a later date. Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory has charge of the arrangements.
